Getting to Know St Patrick’s

An integrated Catholic primary school in the heart of Masterton, for girls and boys from New Entrants to Year 6.

Welcome! Haere mai! Talofa lava! Bula Vinaka! Maligayang pagdating! Swāgat hai!

St Patrick’s is an integrated Catholic primary school for girls and boys from New Entrants to Year 6, set within the heart of Masterton and shaped by a close relationship with St Patrick’s church community and the Catholic Parish of the Wairarapa. The school reflects the diversity of the town around it, welcoming families from every background into a community built on faith, care and connection.

Learning at St Patrick’s is guided by the belief that every tamaiti deserves an education that engages them personally, connecting not just to what they’re taught but to their own language, culture and identity as they grow into confident, capable learners.

Wellbeing sits at the centre of daily life at the school, with Strength and Kindness guiding how tamariki are cared for, supported through challenges and encouraged to look out for one another. This is lived out through the St Patrick’s Way, a framework grounded in the belief that every person is made in the image and likeness of God and deserving of dignity, respect and belonging.
